Overcoming the Monetary Barrier to Your Health

Do NOT compromise your health for the monetary cost. I often hear people avoiding the doctor’s office, treatment options and other medical care because they are worried about the monetary cost of these treatments. Please do not use cost as a reason to avoid seeking treatment. You can push through the fear of monetary loss and debt when you face the reality of your health and your life. The sooner you seek treatment, the less it will cost you overtime. As you let medical concerns fester, they will increase the likelihood of needing more serious and costly intervention methods down the road.

Your spirit was here before money existed and it will continue to live off the air we breathe, the love we receive and the support of the community and loved ones that surround us.

If you are feeling sick, go seek medical treatment, period! Do not allow money to prevent you from getting the healing and care you deserve. When health issues arise, many fears can come into play. Fear of trusting the doctors to provide the appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan. Fear of choosing the right mode of treatment when the options have been laid out. Fear of what might happen if you go through with a surgery or other major procedure. Explore all of your options, face your medical concerns, and seek out support from friends and family. Always take some time to look inward for your own wisdom on what feels right for your body and life.

Please know you can always apply for hospital assistance programs, makes payment plans, etc. Money will always come and go and that’s just a fact of life. Your breath will leave you eventually, but it will last longer if you take good care of it and treat it when it begins to falter.
